This is the first in a series of three articles I published in 1995 in the American Journal of Acupuncture. I’ve gone very far beyond the material from the other two in my texts so I have not posted them here. For that material, read the chapters on the fire element in nourishing Destiny as well as the chapter on qi and blood. In Clinical Practice read the first chapter on The Nature of Shock and my description of the fire channels.
I believe this was ground breaking material at the time and still quite relevant.
