This 40 min lecture is on the Cotton pulse quality. Cotton is felt as a spongy sensation obscuring the pulse. If the pulse is likened to sunshine/yang, the cotton quality is felt as clouds obscuring it. Chief characteristics are resignation, sadness, and disappointment. The Cotton quality can also be caused by physical trauma. Cotton is Weiqi that has collapsed to cause stasis and inhibit healthy qi circulation.
